The Malvern Theatre Players

Who are we?

The Malvern Theatre Players are the resident amateur company of the Malvern Festival Theatre, in Malvern, Worcestershire, England

Please note that we are the resident amateur company and not part of the professional theatre management. We therefore cannot answer questions about the Theatre's programme (other than for our own shows). For the theatres current programme, visit their website: www.malvern-theatres.co.uk

We performs a wide variety of plays, from Chekov to the annual Christmas pantomime. The latter is especially popular, with our recent production of 'Wind in the Willows', playing to over 15000 people.

As well as plays by established writers, we have also produced new plays written by our own members and Saturday morning children's entertainments.

The company has an unusually strong back-stage team, with a wide variety of technical skills. In our own workshops, we construct scenery and props, not only for our own productions, but also for other local amateur societies and the occasional professional touring show.
